CAS Ecology Project

Hi
Yesterday in the morning my friends and i had gone to a place in Ekeren to help with the ecology in the forest. We were there to collect all the dead grass on the floor to help wild orchids grow. The work was hard and strenuous and took us four hours but in the end we triumphed and completed it. The people i went with were micaela and janna santos.

The best part of the entire trip was the end of the day, since we got to sit on a cart full of hay, although there were a lot of pesky bugs which made my hand numb and started to make it spas out. I loved it the serenity the beauty of the forest the cranberries tricking our face and the hay brushing past our skin giving is the sensation of someone tickling me. I felt complete at that point. Although they did not less drive the tractor which they told us we could in the beginning of the journey

The worst part was everything else, no im joking, but it was after 12 and it was at 1, this was because that is when the heat struck and we got REALLLYY tired, as well as that during lunch no soup was served. That just was really bad since my lunch i got from home was not that great i was really looking forward for some good old fashioned soup. As well as that we then started to have to pick up the hay we piled up into carriages which was heavier than we thought and so my muscles really started to ache. But it was a good experience since now i knew how it felt to be a farmer an why they were so bulky.

Over all this trip was alright the satisfaction of doing work was the best part, i felt as if i had for the first time made an impact on the world and i felt complete. And i know that this is not the last time I'm going to do something.

BYYYEEEE see you next blog!
